Open
Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless continues to help Minnesotans
with food and shelter - life’s most basic needs. We do this by giving
grants to food shelves, food banks, onsite feeding programs, shelters,
and transitional and supportive housing programs. Open Your Heart
funding provides for much needed supplies and equipment, or for support
services or work on the facilities. Since 1996, Open Your Heart’s
Education Fund helps homeless children and youths living in shelters
and transitional housing. Supporters of the Education Fund make it
possible for Open Your Heart to distribute grant money each yea rfor
school supplies, book bags, athletic shoes, fees for school activities
and other essential schoo lrelated items. With this aid, the children
are more likely to become involved in and succeed at school activities,
which ultimately increases the likelihood that they will stay enrolled.
This year, now more than ever, please open your heart to the hungry and
homeless 121 East Seventh Place, Suite 190 St. Paul, MN 55101 Web-site address: www.oyh.org Phone: 651-224-8011 Fax: 651-229-0727 E-mail: mail@oyh.org
